Description Pulse Secure for iOS enables secure connectivity over SSL VPN to corporate applications and data from anywhere, at any time. Using Pulse Secure, you can connect securely to your corporate Pulse Secure SA Series SSL VPN gateway and gain instant access to business applications and networked data from wherever you are. The Pulse Secure 8.2R5 client is available and according to the release notes is supported on Sierra, with one limitation: The “Traffic Enforcement” feature of the Pulse Secure Desktop Client does not function on macOS 10.12. (The “Traffic Enforcement” feature can be used to block “raw socket” traffic that might bypass the VPN tunnel.). The latest version of Pulse Secure is 5.3 on Mac Informer. It is a perfect match for the General category. The app is developed by net.pulsesecure. Pulse Secure standard installer: This installer needs to be configured manually and you must have local administrator rights on your Mac. You can download the installer from this link.
Overview
To connect to Indiana University's SSL VPN for individuals from your Windows or macOS workstation, use the Pulse Secure SSL VPN client available from IUware. Pulse Secure lets you connect directly to IU's SSL VPN without having to log in through a web browser. It replaces Junos Pulse and Network Connect, two VPN clients you may have used previously.
- IU's SSL VPN is for off-campus use only; it will not allow you to establish a connection if your device is connected (via wireless or Ethernet) to an IU network.
- To ensure accountability of network communication, the University Information Policy Office prohibits group accounts from connecting to IU's SSL VPN. To make a VPN connection, you must log in using your personal IU username and passphrase.
- You can connect a maximum of two devices at a time to IU's SSL VPN. If you try to connect a third device while you already have a connection running on two other devices, you'll see a prompt asking whether you want to maintain the existing connections and cancel the new connection request, or break one of the existing connections and establish a new connection.
